What a busy day today for the club. We had 4 of our teams at home and 1 on the road with an early start with out in Laytown.

We'll start our Sunday round up with them. Our under 12s travelled to Laytown today and faced a strong and organised side. We went 3 goals down in the first half but managed to claw one back just before the half time whistle. This and a half time pep talk proved enough to give the lads the grit and determination to take the second half by storm, a stunning top corner strike by Oisin Maher and a brilliant solo dribble and finish by Colin saw the sides level at the full time whistle with the lads unlucky to not come away with a winner in the end.

Our 13s were in Tyrrelstown Park this morning against a so far unbeaten Skerries side that hadn't conceded a goal. It wasn't to be our day and even though we had the lions share of possesion we were 2 nil down at half time. We pulled one back early in the 2nd half and had some more to draw level but on only there 2nd chance of the 2nd half they extended their lead again and eventually Skerries ran out 4-2 winners. It was a spirited performance from our lads, hopefully they'll take some learnings from it but can definitely hold their heads up as they kept pushing til the end.

Our 9s had an early kick off in the park this morning against a Swords side for the 2nd week running. All of the players had great fun even if it was in really blustery conditions. This group of players have improved so much over the last couple of months and picked up wins in all their games. They're a credit to their coaches and parents.

Our 10s were at home against a Drogheda Town side. After a tough weekend last week they up against another tough side and thankfully this week had a full squad to use and it stood to us with a very good win in the end.

Our 11s were home to Rivervalley Rangers. We were up against the toughest team we have played in the league this year and it was 1-1 at half time but the 2nd half was a really brilliant performance by the lads, we went up another gear, were winning tackles we shouldn't and it ended with a great result. We scored some fantastic goals however it wasn't one way traffic and if it wasn't for another top performance by our Goalkeeper Tadgh Brennan it would have been a lot closer at the end.

Our nursery and academy continue to grow and it's great to hear the laughs and shouts of joy from the kids. We still have spaces available for more children so if you're interested please get in touch.

We'd also like to thank Glenveagh Homes our club sponsors for their support.
